SAMPLE HIRE TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

  1. The Hirer will during the period of hiring be responsible for supervision of the premises, the fabric and contents of their care safety from damage however slight and of any sort and the behaviour of all persons using the premises whatever their capacity including proper supervision of car parking arrangements.

  2. The Hirer shall not sublet or use the premises for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way or do anything or bring anything onto the premises, which may endanger the same, or any insurance policies in respect thereof.

  3. The hirer shall indemnify the Committee for the cost of repair or reinstatement of any damage done to any part of the property including the surrounding areas or the contents of the building, which may occur as a result of the hiring.

  4. The hirer shall be responsible for leaving the premises and surrounds in a clean and tidy condition, properly locked and secure with all property returned to their usual position otherwise the Committee reserve the right to make an additional charge.

  5. The committee reserve the right to cancel the booking and shall not be liable to the Hirer for any resulting loss or damage whatsoever.

  6. The Hirer shall pay the Treasurer before commencement of the hire the balance of the total hiring charge.

  7. In the event of the Hall or any part thereof being rendered unfit for the use for which it has been hired, the Committee shall not be liable to the Hirer for any resulting loss or damage whatsoever.

  8. The hirer SHALL IN NO CIRCUMSTANCES permit the consumption of intoxicating liquor within the Hall including the surrounding areas EXCEPT with the prior knowledge and consent of the Village Hall Committee.

  9. The booking of the Hall by any Hirer indicates the acceptance of all of these standard conditions of hire. These conditions may not be varied in any way unless the Hirer receives written approval for such from the Chairman of the Committee as sanctioned by the Committee in meeting.
